The fit of this line of salomon boots is unsurpassed.
it is not a stiff, rugged mountain boot but light and sturdy
and walking on these brings a big smile on your face.
Right out of the box they fit your feet like a custom moulded
lining of a ski boot of some sort.
Looking for a lightweight hiking
boot that can be used in summer as well in light winter conditions?
These are the ones to choose, and they also have a cool look!

These boots are so comfortable and light to wear and offer full support to your foot and ankle. Yet to really test them in water, but they have a goretex lining so should do the job there too. Really pleased with my purchase. These boots don't come cheap, but what goretex boots are? Still believe these are a fair price for a fantastic-looking, light, comfortable, boot that should be worn by the military or the French Foreign Legion at least as they are made by Salomon.

I have had Salomon boots before and this time allowed an extra 1/2 size bigger than last time to allow for my feet swelling when on a long walk. Its a bit like buying trainers where generally you need to go a full size bigger than your normal walking shoes. They are an excellent fit and comfortable to walk in straight away. This pair look better designed than my last ones which eventually split on the crease across the top of the sole but they were at least 4yrs old and done a lot of walking. The other issue with the previous pair was them loosing their waterproof quality. Not had these long enough to really test them but they seem ok so far and I think by keeping them clean in the way the manufacturers state and occasional reproofing should keep them serviceable for the mileage life of this type of boot.
