if your looking for a durable lightweight tent thats quick and easy to pitch then this is a great option. i have just spent 6 days walking the Hadrians wall trail and after very long days walking in foul weather this tent did not let me down. i was amazed at how much space there was in such a small tent. being 6f 7inches i find it hard to fully stretch out in most 2 man tents but the gossamer had ample room for both me and my 70 litre osprey aether rucksack.

When I first say this tent on the internet I suspected that someone at Jack Wolfskin had read my mind. This is a super one man tent, and the price is amazing. So far I have only set it up at home, it has not been tested in boggy Wicklow hillside. But, the outer fly is a very discrete brown and is connected to the main body of the tent by a zip which runs along the enterance pole. This should keep the fly connected to the tent in the worst winds. But I would put this firmly in the 3 season category. I was impressed with the quality of the inner which would keep midges out and allow one to enjoy the magic of camping, if the weather turns one could put the outer up.
The enterance porch is an ideal size at 70 cms and makes entering very easy giving one space to change in comfort while keeping the whole tent very neat.
If you need a good quality one man tent, or are considering a hooped bivi for 3 season use then you will not go wrong with the Gossamer.

This tent is lightweight and very waterproof also very easy assembled it will take you and your pack but it is snug also very easy packed away but I would advise you to buy 10 extra alloy pegs £3.99 surf mountain it makes it so much more rigid to peg down the bits the instructions tell you not to and to do this you will nd 9 more pegs so if like me you want a lightweight waterproof tent purely to sleep in and dont mind sacrificing a porch and not being able to sit up or cook in this is a winner great value for money I would highly recommend.
