The uppers of the rugged looking SOLID TRAIL consist entirely of very robust oiled full grain leather. The boot also has a soft, leather lined collar and a leather clad inlay sole. The lining is breathable and the tongue of the boot is made of air permeable mesh fabric. It is this combination of materials that provides such a finely balanced wear climate. I bought a pair of Solid Trail boots at the beginning of the year, and have really put them through their paces.
From Long distance hikes, to scrambling in Snowdonia, and even 9.5 hours on my feet leading a Ben Nevis charity challenge!! This boot has withstood it all, and has kept my feet comfortable throughout.
I haven't had one blister or hot spot, and the boot stays remarkably dry in all but the very worst weather.
I'd like to say in all my years on the mountains, this is by far the best 3 Season Boot I have ever worn.
